In late August the kids advanced to orange belts in their karate class! They worked very hard to learn the moves required to earn the next belt. Needless to say, we are very proud of them.
Our school starts very early (late August!) - here are the kids on their first day back to school. Carson is now in kindergarten and Rachel in first grade. Mom is very happy to have them at the same school!
The Utah State Fair happens every September and since we haven't been for 3 years (while in Rhode Island) we decided to take the kids this year. They had fun at the Kids on the Farm exhibit where they pretended to be farmers collecting eggs, milking cows, and taking care of animals.
I think the rides were their favorite part of the fair.
They each won a stuffed animal. Rachel named hers Teddy and Carson's is Larry the Lobster.
Lego creations are a constant source of fun in our house. One day the kids both wanted to make desert pyramids! Rachel's has a gift shop outside for souvenirs.
We are re-facing an old shed at the back of the house. Rachel enjoyed helping with the painting.
